Village of ochre built on Mont Rouge (335 m altitude), Roussillon is listed among the "Most beautiful villages in France". From the village, visitors can admire the Chaussée des Géants (Giants' Causeway), the Val des Fées (Fairy Valley) and the Falaises de Sang (Cliffs of Blood). The small square animated by pavement cafés is a meeting place on sunny days for many artists, writers and politicians.
